Abstract
The Wright Brothers' invention changed the way we live and air travel has transformed our world. It is a fascinating story on how an injury in a hockey game changed Wilbur Wright's career plans. This paper relates the story and how his career evolved with his brother to build bicycles and then develop the airplane and an aircraft manufacturing company. © 2011 ASCE.
