Two-magnon Raman scattering in calcium doped NiO

Abstract
The magnetic order in antiferromagnetic NiO is reduced upon calcium doping as reflected by a drop in wavenumber and broadening of the Raman active two-magnon band, and a drop in Néel temperature. The two-magnon wavenumber shift is linear as predicted by an Ising cluster model calculation.
