Abstract
© 2016 IEEE. This paper presents an integrated energy management strategy, which combines Rule-based control and Equivalent Consumption Minimization Strategy (Rule-ECMS), for a single shaft parallel HEV. The presented strategy is implemented in dSPACE real-time simulator and integrated with low-level powertrain component controllers. The performance of the Rule-ECMS strategy is compared with rule-based control for both Urban Dynamometer Driving Schedule (UDDS) and Highway Fuel Economy Test (HWFET) drive cycles.
