Winter Carnival wouldn't be Winter Carnival without the Blue Key. They do all the dirty work so everyone else can have the fun. Organizing and planning begins early in the year to synchronize all the events that must be crammed into one week of time. Carnival is what Blue Key makes it, with the edition of hours of student talent, participation and excitement. But what is Carnival really? It's two days off from school . . . snow statues ... broomball ... dogsleds full of girls ... ski and snow shoe races . . . visiting friends . warm, people-filled bars . . . pasties ... motel reservations in August ... shoulder to shoulder at the hockey games ... Snow Balls and snowballs . . . beard contests . . . pictures painted on the dorm walls ... snow-w-w ... and not one but two queens. Carnival means competing whether it's to build the first place snow statue, to be queen or just to find a bed all for yourself. Carnival this year means competition and fun under the theme "THE WHITE WORLD OF SPORTS".
