Abstract

Wireless multimedia streaming services represent a key application for next-generation networks, enabling users with head-mounted goggles to experience immersive binocular viewing. Delivering customizable wireless streaming to multiple devices in specific areas addresses emerging entertainment needs in future cinemas, theme parks, and museums. To ensure high-quality coverage for group multimedia enjoyment, technologies like 5G/6G offer a viable solution. However, integrating physical transmission with streaming requires a cross-layer scheme for flexible and efficient radio resource management across multiple user devices. This paper introduces a novel problem: provisioning binocular streaming to devices (e.g., VR goggles) via efficient allocation of resources from a Massive MIMO antenna array. Considering each user's bandwidth demands, available resources, and channel characteristics, the system optimizes transmission allocation to maximize overall utility. Simulation results demonstrate outstanding performance of our scheme.
