Abstract
Theoretical results have been computed to complement recent measurements by Scheer et al. [Bull. Am. Phys. Soc. 42, 1026 (1997)], which yielded electron affinities (EA) of excited states of the ground configuration of [Formula Presented]. Our relativistic configuration-interaction values for the position of the excited [Formula Presented] with respect to the negative ion ground state are EA[Formula Presented]=5903 [Formula Presented] (0.732 eV), and EA[Formula Presented]=6493 [Formula Presented] (0.805 eV). Triple excitations make a significant contribution. Magnetic dipole hyperfine-structure constants [Formula Presented] and [Formula Presented] transition probabilities are also reported. © 1998 The American Physical Society.
