Abstract
We have obtained electron affinities (shown below in parentheses) of the 11 lowest bound excited configurations for Cr-, Fe-, Co-, and Ni-; viz., Cr- 3d44s4p2 P5/28 (0.718 eV), Cr- 3d44s4p2 F1/28 (0.629 eV), Fe- 3d64s4p2 P9/28 (0.313 eV), Fe- 3d64s4p2 F13/28 (0.106 eV), Fe- 3d54s4p3 S9/210 (1.271 eV), Co- 3d64s4p3 D69 (0.888 eV), Co- 3d7(3F)4s4p2 D57 (0.197 eV), Co- 3d74s4p2 G77 (0.126 eV), Ni- 3d84s4p2 F11/26 (0.206 eV), Ni- 3d84s4p2 G13/26 (0.272 eV), and Ni- 3d74s4p3 F13/28 (1.044 eV). © 1989 The American Physical Society.
