Abstract
A new factorisation method for the solution of symmetric positive definite linear systems is proposed. The method is similar to an LLT type factorisation of the coefficient matrix A where the factors are interlocking matrix quadrants and can be applied on a single-instruction stream parallel machine. © 1983, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
