Inelastic deformation behavior of la < inf> 0.6 Sr < inf> 0.4 FeO < inf> 3 perovskite

Abstract
Inelastic deformation behavior of the rhombohedral La 0.6Sr 0.4FeO 3 perovskite is reported. Such behavior is very similar to the ferroelastic deformation of LaCoO 3 or lead zirconate titanate perovskites, except that no twin structure was found to exist in La 0.6Sr 0.4FeO 3. The possible mechanisms responsible for such nonlinear deformation behavior are discussed. © 2006 American Institute of Physics.
