Abstract
Glycerol is electro-converted to glycolate with 85% selectivity on carbon nanotube supported Au catalyst (Au/CNT) in alkaline electrolyte at 1.6 V (vs. SHE) under mild reaction conditions (room temperature, atmosphere pressure, water as solvent). © 2012 The Royal Society of Chemistry.
