Superacidic trifluoromethanesulfonic acid-induced cycli-acyalkylation of aromatics

Abstract
A study was performed on the superacidic trifluoromethanesulfonic acid-induced cycli-acyalkylation of aromatics. The aromatics were synthesized with unsaturated carboxylic acids through Friedel-Craft cycliacyalkylation. It was found that depending upon the reactant type, different substituted indanones and tetralones were obtained in moderate to good yields.
