Abstract
Heat capacities of calcium chromate (CaCrO4) and calcium chromite (β-CaCr2O4) were measured at elevated temperatures using the differential scanning calorimetry. The measured heat capacities of CaCrO4 and β-CaCr2O4 as a function of temperature (measured in J mol-1 K-1) are expressed as Cp(CaCrO4) = 127.92 + 35.73 × 10-3T - 2.257 × 106/T2 (298-1123 K) Cp(β-CaCr2O4) = 166.69 + 18.33 × 10-3T - 2.92 × 106/T2 (298-1203 K). © 2001 Elsevier Science B.V.
