Abstract
There have been only a few studies using supercritical fluid extraction for carbamate pesticides. In this report, a method for the supercritical fluid extraction of carbamate pesticides (carbaryl, aldicarb, and carbofuran) from filter paper and silica gel matrices was developed. Analytes were determined in the extracts by HPLC with UV detection. Recoveries from spiked filter paper and silica gel ranged between 13% and 100%, depending on the analyte and the matrix components. The addition of a small volume (0.6-1.3ml) of methanol to the extraction cell greatly enhanced the recoveries of target carbamates. Copyright (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
