Abstract
Elemental Cu and NbC powders were mechanically alloyed with either graphite or hexane to form nanocomposite CuNbC powders. These powders were consolidated by hotisostatic-pressing at one-third of the melting temperature of NbC to form a 100% dense compact, while maintaining a crystallite size well within the nano-regime. © 1994.
