Abstract
We have developed a student-oriented computer program which can be used for simulating the characteristics of a semiconductor junction on a personal computer. The program is written in FORTRAN 77 and the graphics have been incorporated using a package called GRAFMATIC. The program has been used to study the ideal static and dynamic characteristics of PN junctions at different operating temperatures and the effects of the generation and recombination in the depletion layer have been analyzed.
