Abstract
In this paper a mathematical programming approach to the configuration of manufacturing planning and control software is presented. A generalized zero-one nonlinear integer programming model is developed for this purpose. The approach is illustrated for the configuration of software that would support activities at the tactical level in a manufacturing environment.
