Abstract
Plant investigations and laboratory experiments have been conducted in order to study the effects of temperature on the classification efficiency of a cyclone. It was demonstrated that, under otherwise constant operating conditions, alterations in temperature produced a nearly linear change in d50(c) size. However, the sharpness of the separation, as defined by the reduced efficiency curve, showed no dependence on temperature.
