Abstract
This paper tests the proposition that the flactuations in metal prices can be termed 'cyclical' as opposed to the proposition that they are random and thus that any apparent cyclicality is imaginary. We find that variations in metal prices over the medium term are not random and in many cases can be characterized as having some degree of periodicity.
