Abstract
An approximate system reliability analysis method, including system effects and load duration effects, is used to study the lifetime behavior of wood floor and roof systems. Based on the results from a simplified beam-spring model, reliability analysis of a system is performed using a single specific partially composite member incorporated with the distributions of order statistics of the lumber strength. Different load models and damage accumulation models are also investigated.
