Abstract
An algebraic expression for the three-point velocity correlation of grid-turbulence is formulated by combining related experimental evidence for the two-point velocity correlation with known theoretical constraints about three-point correlations in general. Related results suggest the existence of a second "triad-interaction" between wave-numbers which is completely independent of the well-known classical triad-interaction. Two Re-dependent scalars present in the formulation are determined by postulating an energy-exchange function applicable to turbulence in general. An emergent inconsistency peculiar to the analysis of "inviscid" turbulence is discussed.
