Abstract
Pre-explosive luminescence of lead azide Pb(N3)2 in the range from 400 to 1000 nm was investigated both experimentally and theoretically. A theoretical investigation of the electron structure for a lead azide crystal was made using the. Hartree-Fock method. The rated density of states and experimental pre-explosive luminescence spectrum of lead azide were analyzed in detail. The probable location of the hole quasi-local state in the valence band was determined.
