Abstract
In this paper, dynamic buckling analysis of composite cylindrical panels under two separately suddenly applied loads (axial compression and lateral external pressure) is investigated. Abaqus/Explicit operator has been used to monitor time responses of the structure under various magnitudes of loads in order to determine the critical dynamic buckling loads based on the Budiansky–Roth criterion. The effect of boundary conditions and loading duration is studied thoroughly in this work.
