Abstract
I report predation by American Crows (Corvus brachyrhynchos) on little brown bats (Myotis lucifugus) near the entrance to an abandoned mine and below ground within the mine in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This appears to be the first report of a corvid repeatedly entering a cave or mine to pursue prey and provides additional evidence for the remarkable behavioral plasticity of this species and family.
