Abstract
The application of concentrated, transverse, pull-out loads to thermoset polymer composite panels was investigated. The issues studied were the deformation characteristics of virgin panels which were taken to failure under transverse loading and then repaired. Both experimental and numerical (finite element) studies were carried out. Good agreement was achieved between numerical and experimental results.
