Abstract
An audio-tutorial laboratory which accompanies an introductory electromagnetism course at Michigan Technological University has been in operation for three years. The application of this laboratory method to electricity and magnetism provided unique problems in the design of experiments and in the selection of instruments. In some cases new apparatus had to be designed and built. A set of eight experiments is in use. Several involve the electrical system of an automobile. © 1985, American Association of Physics Teachers. All rights reserved.
