Abstract
This paper describes a simple and efficient procedure which relies on a state-space description of the circuit to evaluate boundary conditions in a Class E switching-mode RF amplifier. The amplifier model used includes the “on” and “off” resistances of the active device switch. The state-space description is converted to a discrete-time representation which allows casting the problem into the framework of linear algebraic equations. Details on the determination of boundary conditions and a simple but efficient program to calculate them are provided. © 1990 IEEE
