Excited-configuration metastable level lifetimes of Cl-like Mn IX and Fe X

Abstract
A combination of wavelength and lifetime measurements, together with the isolation of a known ion charge state in the ion trap, were used to measure the transition wavelength of Mn IX and Fe X. Measurement results provide local information on plasma electron temperatures and densities for remote diagnostics.
