Abstract
Stories from the Chicken Soup for the Soul book series can be used to illustrate course concepts in organizational behavior courses. Stories are helpful for understanding abstract principles by applying them to specific situations. In addition, stories increase recall by evoking emotions and creating visual memories. However, many stories used in organizational behavior, such as those in cases, focus on how not to lead, make decisions, and so forth. The Chicken Soup stories are short, very positive stories based on real events that help emphasize processes that contribute to human flourishing.
