Every year on the Michigan Tech campus, as the long days of winter begin to play on the minds of the students, attention focuses on the first week of February. This particular date has long been an inspiration to all, as it marks our traditional Winter Carnival activities. Over the years, one can see the development of Carnival evolve from its early beginning in 1922, to the splendor as we know it today. So much time and effort has gone into this year's planning from the various organizations involved that it would be difficult for the average person to fathom what goes on behind-the-scenes.
