Abstract
This chapter presents an overview of Wave Energy Converter (WEC) model testing, highlighting its crucial role. The importance of tank testing for WEC models lies in its ability to validate innovative designs in a cost-effective manner, promoting understanding and guiding future improvements. Given the potential differences in testing methods across various WEC archetypes, testing facilities, equipment, and test scopes, this chapter primarily aims to introduce a comprehensive and adaptable testing framework. Additionally, it offers valuable insights drawn from testing experiences within a specific wave tank setting.
