Abstract

Highway landscape maintenance is important for safe and attractive landscapes. This paper proposes a highway landscape maintenance index system and assessment model using AHP and qualifies the landscape maintenance elements that can specify the maintenance emphasis. In the case study, the availability of this method has been demonstrated. Through analyzing assessment results, the paper can guide maintenance managers and workers to realize the key maintenance landscape elements and the focus of work. © 2013 American Society of Civil Engineers.
