Abstract
Current measurements in one of the tidal inlets to the Venice lagoon have provided data about vertical current profile and turbulence. An attempt is done to fit an adimensional profile to the data and the possibility of sediment transport is discussed. The analysis of current spectra furnishes evidence of the existence of 2- and 3-dimensional turbulence.
