The Department of Chemical Engineering provides a high-quality education experience that will prepare graduates to assume leadership positions within chemical and other associated industries. The department fosters and encourages the pursuit of new knowledge and innovative scholarship in chemical sciences and engineering. Featuring modern classrooms and state-of-the-art laboratory facilities for conducting research, the department provides leadership to the chemical engineering profession through scholarship, teaching, and service.
The department strives to be a nationally recognized undergraduate chemical engineering program coupled with research strengths in process safety, process systems engineering, applied thermodynamics, polymers, mineral processing, and biochemical engineering.
